Who We Are

We are the Colorado Chapter of SPAAMFAA, the Society for the Preservation & Appreciation of Antique Motor Fire Apparatus in America.

43 Members

Our members include active-duty and retired fire command officers and firefighters.  We also have retired airline pilots, teachers and military, fire protection engineers, business owners, financial consultants and even a fire engine dealer!  

80 Trucks

Our trucks include engines, brush trucks, aerial ladder and one antique dating back to 1914.

Schomp Automotive Group

Schomp Automotive Group has been a proud, long-standing sponsor of MHH&L for over 34 years.  Founder Ralph Schomp owned a beautiful 1950 American-LaFrance open-cab pumper and the dealership  owns a second fire truck.

Denver Firefighters Museum

MHH&L is a strong supporter of the Denver Firefighters Museum.  It's a great place to learn about the history of firefighting in Denver.  2019 FREE days are May 9, August 10 and October 5.
